Decision already looming in Meltewitz?
The AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany is heading towards its grand finale. This coming Sunday (September 28), the legendary MelzExdraehm in Meltewitz will host the penultimate round of the season – and with it, the only Sunday race of the year. Traditionally, the SHC Meltewitz classic attracts numerous top riders, making it possible that important decisions in the championship standings could already be made at this event. One thing is certain, however: the excitement will most likely continue until the grand finale on November 1 in Rüdersdorf.
Schmüser vs. Strauss in the title fight
In the overall championship, Milan Schmüser currently holds a comfortable lead. With 14 points ahead, he travels to Meltewitz after capitalizing on mistakes by his strongest rival, Henry Strauss. The defending champion had to surrender second place to Leon Hentschel in the closing laps at both Reisersberg and Schwepnitz, losing valuable points.
On the fast Meltewitz track, however, Strauss could have an advantage and aim for direct revenge. A three-way battle between Schmüser, Strauss, and Hentschel is therefore guaranteed.
Junior class close to decision
The signs also point to an early decision in the X-Grip Juniors. Championship leader Matthis Millich needs only nine more points mathematically to secure the title. His main pursuers have often taken points off each other throughout the season. The most consistent among them has been Emil Kessler, who, with a 16-point deficit, still keeps his slim hopes alive.
Other classes wide open – strong rider field expected
In all other categories, the title fight will most likely not be decided until the finale. Adding to the excitement is the strong rider field: in recent days, new entries have been coming in by the hour. Returning to action is Linus Albert, who is back on the bike after an injury break and will line up in Meltewitz together with his brother Jonas.

Another highlight is the guest appearance of former biathlete and Eurosport commentator Michael Rösch. Last year, he made his first podium appearance in the Senior class and is keen to show his skills once again.
A special event in Meltewitz
The Meltewitz round also offers fans a unique format. As the only checkpoint race of the season, it promises variety and thrilling position battles. The day begins at 10:00 am with the ACE Bikes Prolog Award, followed by the main race at 12:00 pm, starting in rows of four according to the prologue results. Riders will face seven laps within a maximum riding time of three hours. With course adjustments by SHC Meltewitz, an exciting and diverse race is once again guaranteed for both participants and spectators.
Around the track, the PEM Energy HESG Village will once again offer plenty to see and experience, ensuring a vibrant event atmosphere beyond the racing action.
