Following the successful debut event in Kronach, the AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany is already looking ahead to the next major highlight of the 2026 season. On June 27–28, 2026, the series heads to Reisersberg, where a very special milestone awaits.
The Saturday race will mark the 50th race in the history of the AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany.
After attracting more than 150 riders in Kronach and delivering an exciting championship battle at the front of the standings, the anniversary weekend promises top-class Hard Enduro action. For the first time in series history, riders and spectators can look forward to a double-header event featuring two separate race days and two completely different competition formats.
The Hexenkessel Reisersberg is one of the most iconic venues on the calendar. Over the years, the event has become a fan favorite and has regularly produced thrilling battles for victories and championship points.
An interesting statistic adds even more excitement: the five previous HESG races held in Reisersberg have produced five different winners. The question for 2026 is therefore clear: will there be another new winner, or will one of the previous winners finally claim a second victory at the Hexenkessel?
New sections and summer heat await the riders
The Hexenkessel course has once again been expanded and updated for the anniversary weekend. The organizers have introduced several new sections designed to provide additional challenges for the competitors.
Experienced Reisersberg riders know that the venue has always been one of the toughest stops on the AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany calendar. With the newly added sections, the level of difficulty is expected to increase even further.
Particular attention will be focused on a brand-new and demanding rock garden section. Multiple line choices will be available, meaning that success will depend not only on riding skill but also on tactical decision-making. Depending on race circumstances, different lines may either save or cost valuable seconds.
Weather could also play a decisive role. Current forecasts predict typical summer temperatures. However, this is nothing unusual for Reisersberg.
Back in 2023, temperatures reached approximately 34 degrees Celsius on race day. As a result, not only riding ability but also fitness and race management are expected to play a crucial role. Over the course of two race days, physical endurance could become a key factor in the battle for victories and championship points.
Two race days – two completely different challenges
One of the unique features of the anniversary weekend is the different race format on each day. Riders will have to master two completely different challenges.
On Saturday, the traditional and familiar AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany format will be used. The day begins with the ACE Bikes Prolog Award, which determines the starting positions for the group races. The group races are then followed by the main final, where the day's winner is decided.
On Sunday, an entirely different competition format awaits. Riders will compete in a classic Enduro race, which also includes a timed Extreme Test.
Each lap will feature a time control, similar to traditional Enduro events. This system helps keep the field organized throughout the race and actively reduces the likelihood of major bottlenecks at obstacles.
While Saturday focuses on speed and direct racing battles, Sunday additionally requires performance in the Extreme Test, endurance, consistency, and excellent time management.
This combination of two very different competition formats makes the Reisersberg anniversary weekend one of the most diverse events in the history of the AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany.
Strong rider lineup for the anniversary weekend
From a sporting perspective, the anniversary weekend promises high-level Hard Enduro racing. After three rounds, Henry Strauss arrives in the Bavarian Forest as the overall championship leader. However, his advantage over series record holder Leon Hentschel remains far from comfortable, ensuring that the two title contenders will once again be the center of attention.
The Reisersberg statistics remain fascinating. With five different winners in five races, the Hexenkessel has proven to be one of the most unpredictable venues on the calendar.
Marc Wulf ist wieder zurück
Additional excitement comes from the return of Marc Wulf, who will be back in action after missing the previous round. The multiple race winner has repeatedly shown that he is capable of fighting for top positions on demanding terrain.
The international field will also be strengthened by Ramon Bregoli from FB.Factory. The Swiss rider recently impressed with a strong 30th-place finish at the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo Hare Scramble and could be a contender for top results in Reisersberg as well.
Special attention will also be given to the HESG-E class. Daniel Freidinger will make history by bringing a Jarv-E to the AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany for the first time. This means that, alongside the Stark Varg, a second current electric motorcycle brand will be represented in the championship.
At the same time, the Jarv-E becomes the fourth electric motorcycle brand ever to compete in the series. In the early years, motorcycles from Alta Motors and EMR were already part of the championship before the Stark Varg became established.
Extensive side program for riders and fans
There will once again be plenty to experience away from the race track.
The Motorrad.versicherung HESG Village will host numerous exhibitors, partners, and vendors throughout Saturday, giving visitors the opportunity to discover the latest products and meet riders, teams, and sponsors.
Another popular attraction returning to Reisersberg is the Stark Reverse Challenge, where riders and fans can experience the performance of the Stark Varg and test their own skills.
A special highlight awaits on Saturday evening following the 50th race in series history. Under the title "HESG 50 Races – Evening of Legends," the AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany will celebrate the most important milestones of the championship together with riders, teams, sponsors, and fans.
The evening will feature awards, stories from the past, and the premiere of a brand-new ten-minute highlight film showcasing the most emotional, spectacular, and memorable moments from the first 50 races in series history.
On the sporting side, the weekend begins on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with the ACE Bikes Prolog Award, followed by the group races and the main final.
Sunday’s action starts even earlier at 8:15 a.m. with the new Enduro race format featuring time controls and the timed Extreme Test.
With the 50th race in series history, two completely different race formats, new sections on the course, and a unique anniversary celebration, everything is set for one of the most extraordinary weekends ever held in the AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany.
