Season Midpoint in Reisersberg – Who Will Be the 2025 Midseason Champion?
As the 2025 season reaches its halfway point, the AUNER HardEnduroSeries Germany will stop in Reisersberg this coming Saturday (12 July 2025). The MCC Reisersberg powered by X-Grip has once again gone above and beyond, adding new sections to the track.
This time, the big unknown is the weather. Will the rain come – or will it stay dry? Forecasts remain inconsistent for now. One thing is certain, however: moderate summer temperatures of around 20 degrees Celsius are expected. That should make for far more pleasant conditions than in previous years at the southernmost stop of the tour.
A Look at the Starting List
All the top riders are back on the line. Henry Strauss enters the race highly motivated – well-prepared and determined to close the gap to Milan Schmüser. After his victory in Hamma, he’s now only three points behind the overall leader – exactly the difference between first and second place in the final.
But Milan Schmüser didn’t rest during the season’s first longer break either: he competed in the Erzbergrodeo, took part in several rounds of the German Trial Championship, and also lined up in motocross events.
So, who will be the midseason champion – Schmüser or Strauss?
In previous years, the midseason leader has almost always gone on to win the overall title by season’s end. So the tension is guaranteed.
The battle for third place is also heating up: current third-place rider Leon Hentschel is locked in a fierce duel with Marc Wulf. Wulf showed a marked improvement after his injury in Hamma – narrowly missing out on his first podium finish of the season. The 2023 champion is back in the game.
The entire top 10 of the championship standings is registered to race. The class competitions are also continuing with thrilling head-to-heads – all the favorites are in. It’s shaping up to be another action-packed round!
"We’re looking forward to an exciting race in the Bavarian Forest. With over 50 guest riders, we’ve broken the record of the last two years. They could very well bring some surprises. We’re eager to see who will come out on top this Saturday," says Denis Günther from the series organization.
"Early Birds" Have the Advantage
As usual, race day in Reisersberg kicks off earlier than at other events. Due to a mandatory midday break, the ACE Bikes Prolog Award will start as early as 8:30 a.m. This will be followed by the first run of the Luminus Energie HESG Kids and the initial group races – all before the break.
From 1:30 p.m. onwards, the second block of group races and the second Kids run will continue. The day’s showdown begins at 4:15 p.m. with the big final.
New Partner at MCC Reisersberg
X-Grip is joining as a new partner of MCC Reisersberg for the first time. Under its new name, MCC Reisersberg e.V. powered by X-Grip, the club is entering a new era together with the Austrian tire and mousse manufacturer.
